1-Vilken tid på dygnet får du bäst inspiration? / What time of the day do you get your best inspiration?
I usually write best in the night when the children are asleep in the peace and quiet, but suddenly when I'm sitting in a taxi going into town...oh I'll get a really good sentence or title and say "Oh! Paper, pen! Paper, pen! I must write it down before I forget!" I must write it down directly.
It happens that I have written text in the most strange situations. It's totally sick! However when I write the music I must sit down at home with the piano, but the text can come from anything.

2-Classic: Texter eller Musik först? / Classic: Text or Music First?
Often at the same time; I get the melody in my head and then if it's really good I must ring home to leave a message on the answering machine. If I'm not home, cause then I can record it directly. I ring and sing into the telephone and when I get home I play it. There are often very funny melodies on the answering machine and it's so strange. I've done it from a restaurant when I'm drunk and I listen again when I'm sober. I can sing in an entire sequence.
It has happened that Micke comes home and says "What the hell have you sung here?! I can't hear a thing of what you have been singing!" And I can't either! But the best stuff can actually come in the middle of the night or when I'm out.
Äntligen was written… it came from a dream - I dreamed the whole song and I woke up at… twenty past three the time was... and it was singing in my head. So I got up to write it down. I couldn't really play it in the middle of the night, cause then I would have woken up the whole family. It worked out. Songs, text - it can come from everything. But for the most part it comes from feelings, experiences I've had - I must have an identity, I must have felt the experiences. I must not stifle myself, you know. It's hard to write like I'm making up a story. Per can write like that, he can find a short story, I write another way.

3-Vad är skillnaden på årets och 1992 års turne? / What is the difference between this years and the 1992 tour?
Very big difference, because 8 years ago it was an autumn tour and I was pregnant with Josefin then, plus that I had just come off a world tour with Roxette. It was very, ah, what can I say….it was very uncertain, my whole mentality, what can I say - my feelings were very....I don't know….dark. We were okay, we were cool, you know, but it was….but it's much better today, a totally other - what can I say…a totally different person today…I have been through so much, family, work, touring, I just really enjoyed this summer tour.

4-Känner du dig mer harmonisk idag än för 10 år sedan ? / Do you feel more harmony today than 10 years ago?
I have much more self confidence. A total more security in myself…more calm. I think it's cool to say things are more fun, much more fun. It's great.

5-Vad är drivkraften till ditt artisteri ? / What's your motivation for your artistry?
When we decided that we would make this summertour - I was also longing for it to have the chance to make it. But then again - when the decision had been made, it was so…good heavens, what did I let myself in for? Will I expose myself again? Or to read bad reviews or to get bad press. Because of course not everybody loves what you are doing. But of course you want everybody to love what you are doing, you always want be affirmed. But sometimes you can feel if it - if it goes against you, then I wonder why I really let in myself for that. For what price? Sometimes it feels that you destroy yourself. At the same time it feels that - yes when you are standing there and you see for instance all these Roxette fans who travelled through the whole world to follow this tour. Who are standing there crying, they are really involved and completely - what can I say - totally devoted to the songs, they sing along, they know all the lyrics and they are so well up in it. Then you are really over the moon and you only feel that there is a meaning. Thank goodness that I made this here! And you are
becoming happy and it becomes - a nice strength is coming. So this is a kind of love-hate-relationship that I can feel for the stage. Because one thing is to sit in the studio and to record and to write and so on. But when you are standing on the stage then it is so tangible and so much here and now.

6-Vilka är de viktigaste egenskaperna för att nå publiken från scen ? / What are the most important features to reach the audience from the stage?
Yes, the best thing is if you can dare to improvise. Because it is very easy to tell the same things evening by evening when you are talking to the audiences for instances. I did that as well. But when I dared to give it up and you dared to do something else, like going on the side. Or if you suddenly dare to pick up a comment from the audiences then you get a nice communication. Or if you dare to invite the crew for instance. For example some who are working on stage and they had a dance which they were doing in the back and it was very funny. One day I invited them and they were allowed to do their whole show up on the stage and the audiences thought it was very funny. Yes, that you are not so locked in …what can I say…in how we decided it has to be evening by evening. But that you dare to give it up! I think that is a strong point.
Interviewer: Is it different - if you are talking and it's flowing and you have fun. Can you enjoy it then?
Yes absolutely. I love when you are well up in it. Then it's really - you can feel that you have it in your hands. Then I really enjoy it. But I think it almost takes, four, five concerts before you reach the stage where it just flows. It takes a while.

7- Hur viktigt är egot för att bli en bra artist? / How important is the ego to become a good artist?
It's very important that - if you receive very bad reviews for instance - or you have to read in the newspaper that someone doesn't like what you have done, then it's very important to have your ego, because you know your abilities, you know what you are good at. Here is one person who thinks so - sometimes you must not forget what it is you have and who you are. Well, I mean that you don't become too sad or too crestfallen because someone has a different opinion. You have to respect that of course. But then it's very nice if you can surround and protect yourself with your ego. But I think that you give it up when you are on stage. Then you just have to try to be as generous as you can and you have to give as much as you can. So even if I do all this for myself of course as well - but the more I can give to communicate to forget anxiety or stress the more I can let it go. Then you can also reach out. The ego - you can see it in so many ways but I see it more like - sometimes it can be very nice to use it to protect yourself from idiots!

8-Varför betyder tabloidpressen mer hemma än utomlands? / Why does the tabloid press mean more at home than abroad?
Because here everything is painted so much in black and white. I got used to both of it and the same goes for Roxette abroad - but that's another thing. I mean Roxette - there we are two, together we have much more strength and it's something completely different. But here at home with my Swedish lyrics which are…I think I let myself out so terribly much in my writing and in - and even on stage - in other words it is a huge emotional release and like, you really give all you feel here and now, right now. And then it's obvious that you become sad if someone just takes a piece apart, and you wonder if they have actually been there or what they have to do there from the beginning, and you feel that they were not interested in it, or why is it that I can't touch YOU? Why can I touch 3000 people but not YOU? What's wrong? What's the reason? And another thing - what can I say….I think somehow I am more vulnerable if I am singing in Swedish because it's so much about my inner being. But for Roxette it's especially Per who writes the lyrics and it's in a different language. It's easier to hide behind that I think. And you can also hide behind a different attitude. But my Swedish songs - that's me, so naked somehow.

9- Vilken typ av kritik sårar mest? / What kind of criticism hurts most?
You can see through it - somehow you can directly notice if someone has made a decision before - what their opinion will be. I think you can read if it is already decided. And you can also feel if someone has really listened or not. You notice that the more experience you have. You can feel directly if it is someone who is involved or not. And of course I think that you have to take criticism and of course people have to say what they think, but do it with dignity, do it in a constructive and distinct way. Sometimes we think that they only want to spread shit and that it is only intended to be a really spiteful writing. It's rubbish. There is no dignity in it.

10- Hur håller du dig i form? / How do you stay in shape?
After my second child I realised that I must begin training… otherwise we have to quit this career! (Laughs) No, but I train about four times a week it's quite a lot. Hmm… all sorts of training. Everything from weightlifting, to boxing, to, yeah…ordinary cycling, ordinary fitness training. It's a routine in my life - at least three times a week, I must push myself to do it. And as early in the morning as possible. Otherwise it will interrupt a lot of other things. It works very well. But I have a trainer who whips me (makes a whip with her hand) – cause it can be hard to have that willpower, all on your own. It could easily happen that you skip one day if you don’t have someone whipping you all the time.

11-Om man ser dig some en drink, hur många procent är självsäkerhet, sex, musikalitet och vilja? / If we look at you as a drink, what percentage is self confidence, sex, music ability and desire?
I must say it’s a very clear quarter of each part, I think actually. It’s quite a good balance. I am very secure in myself when I stand on the stage, and as a musician. I think it's a damn good mix, actually.

12-Har du några förebilder för ditt artister ? / Have you got any role models for your artistry?
Mick Jagger is a very big rolemodel, actually - Rolling Stones. I think Mick, his way of moving on the stage….his self evidence, his clarity - I love it. So I learned a lot from watching him. Also Tina Turner, she's very clear - especially old Ike and Tina Turner films, old concerts with Ike and Tina Turner with that power and strength is fantastic inspiration, so it's those two who inspire me most.
Also someone very special is Jimi Hendrix, also his attitude and the rawness, I like the…you know, blues feeling…yeah.

13-Hur viktigt är sex i artisteriet? / How important is sex in the artistry?
I don't think it is. Well, if I stand on the stage then I don't think "Oh you have to try to be extra-sexy here!". It doesn't work like that. I only give what I feel in that moment. That can be everything, that can be - I can feel a lot of strength in the voice and in the presence and in the interaction with the audiences but it depends on it what kind of song it is. Well a song like "Så skimrande var aldrig havet " where you are beginning a capella and only the voice may speak may - only feel the silence around. There is an enormous strength in that. With only one voice. So it becomes what it becomes. It's not that you are thinking or that you feel that it has to be extra-sexy. That doesn't happen.

14-Har du några speciella poser? / Do you have you any special poses?
Yes, there is one with Roxette actually… I can't remember exactly which song…it was a peaceful song in any case. It was a…what can I say - a pose where I hung my hand over the microphone and looked down, and it made a silhouette behind me - we used the picture on a single from an album…I think it was the Tourism album…it's an incredibly good looking pose actually, when I saw it I said "Wow! That came from me!" That's the way it goes. It's a great feeling when the song ends and the song is still, and finished .in any case it was cute! Very cute! But such things happen when you improvise. And that's the best. To think too much about what you are doing, that's something people notice immediately, the audience thinks "Oh that was very planned!"
Another thing is the choreography, the steps you take …. But that's totally another thing. I like it best to improvise, to just give what I feel in the moment. It can be magic. It's so unplanned. 

15-Har du några andra dramaturgiska scentrick? / Do you have any other dramatic stage tricks?
No, not exactly. But on the other hand, you can feel something in a pause, you can feel in what you say after a song, a special strength or you might feel that it's better to wait in silence. Allow yourself to feel the feeling - you know, you can manage such things.


16-Finns det en speciell Marie Fredriksson-pose? / Is there a special Marie Fredriksson pose?
A long time ago I used to throw my arms around, in the old Roxette videos, so much (throws arms around) and such. Then I tried to hold my arms completely still by my side! The best one is when I'm entirely still and sing…that's hard actually. I must concentrate, stand totally still and focus. It's a beautiful strength, when I'm very concentrated, a beautiful way to communicate.


17-Vilken är pophistoriens bästa pose? / Which is pop history's best pose?
The first band that you experienced that you totally snapped over, was the Beatles shaking their heads singing "She loves you yeah yeah yeah!" And the first thing you thought when you saw them, was how dreadfully long their hair was! I'll never forget the first time I saw them on TV shaking their heads and I thought "WOW!" That was intense! It was a great pose - the whole song's…what can I say….an identity - shaking their heads with the long hair. 

18-Vilken artist tycker du har haft det bästa snacket mellan låtarna? / Which artist do you think has had the best banter (talking between songs?)
The smartest and most charming banter I have seen on stage… well that was Frank Sinatra. I saw him at the Globen Arena (in Stockholm) many years ago … hm, how long ago was it… well, almost 10 years ago … yeah, in fact. He was so relaxed, so easy, elegant, warm … and he had this great distance to himself. He had this earnestness … it was like … this beautiful earnestness which you just wished you always had yourself as an artist. It was just so cool! Wonderful. I mean, it was of course rehearsed but … it made no difference. It's just great, I think! 

19-Hur har mammarollen påverkat karriären ? / How did becoming a mother affect your career?
Becoming a parent … this really changes you whole life in so many ways. It's SUCH a responsibility! Which means that sometimes you feel that on the one hand it really…in a way, what can I say…deletes a part of your, what can I say … it deletes a part of what you can or want to do with your life. But, on the other hand, becoming a parent enriches your life so enormously… you feel such a strength … so I'm very… you know, there is just two sides to it.
I think being a mother is one of the most powerful and wonderful things I have experienced, At the same time, you know, one is restless and nervous all the time… how are the children, did they get hurt, whatever … really, you feel a permanent restlessness, you always have a bad conscience and wonder whether you have everything under control … whether you make wrong decisions … whatever!
It feels wonderful, however, that, the older your children get, the more you get from them in return, so sometimes now, it's the children who show me what to do. Your role as a mother, well, you settle down in it and after a while manage it really well. It's becoming better and better. But, being the perfect mother, to juggle everything just perfectly - that is impossible. You are who you are.
That's my personality, that's my dream.
They cannot - must not - exist "through" me or my profession. They must be allowed to make their own choices and I have to support them in whatever they choose to do with their lives.
Another thing which is really vital in order to become a good parent at all is that the relationship you have with your partner / spouse is a healthy one. If your relationship does not work, it is impossible to be good parents. You need to sort out your own "shit" (problems) before you can give anything to your children. I do think, in fact, that it is a good thing that people get divorced if their relationships do not work at all. And that they do not stay together only because of the kids. I really think that the latter is the wrong way. It is always much better to go separate ways and after separation, to hopefully build up a new relationship with each other, trying to be good friends. I don't share this attitude that many people have who are saying "oh no, don't get a divorce, that's so sad for the children…". Well, of course it is very sad for those children, that it didn't work, that their parents' love did not last any longer, it's obvious that it hurts, yet it is still better to end a bad relationship and try to at least become friends so that then you are able to look after your children in a much more loving way. There is nothing worse than living on a lie and artificially maintaining a relationship which is never going to work out. Because this is really something which makes kids suffer … that's something they get and look right through. You should be honest with your children about that. 

20-Har dina barn varit med mycket under turnén? / Have your children been with you much during the tour?
They were with me a lot, through the tour. It was one of the conditions for doing this tour. It was Josefin's summer holiday, and Oscar was turning four in…November. We couldn't just leave them for the whole summer, that wouldn't work, it was clear that they must come with us. Also I think it's really much better to show them our job, to see everything we do the whole time, to understand our job much more - Micke too because he was playing keyboards, and it's good for them to see what mamma and pappa do, that we can be cool together, and for them to see the love that is there, between us. I think it was good to show them. It showed something for me, especially Oscar. I felt that, especially with Oscar, I was a bit worried about how he would handle it. But after the fifth or sixth concert he was tired of touring, he just wanted to watch videos during the evening or even go to the hotel to watch a movie, play or do something else. So that made it clear for me. We can talk about our memories of the tour, it's really nice. 

21-Hur mycket är det att jobba med sin man och vara arbetsgivare ? / How is it working with your husband and being work partners?
(...) He was the conductor and he had helped me to put together the whole band, and all the musicians are very good friends of ours.
So it was, like - it is something that we do together. Micke has a lot of respect for me, for my job, for my routine and I have respect for him, as a musician, who has toured very often in Sweden with all the possible artists and also for a really long time. So, instead, it became fun to work together. 

22-Hur fördelar ni föräldraskapet, jobb och fritid mellan er? / How do you arrange parenthood, work and free-time between you?
We have tried to - like for example Roxette takes very much time and strength - then Micke takes a step backward and very much takes care of life at home, but then I have tried during periods which can be long like for example - between a Roxette-record or between a tour, when we are at home maybe for a year and we only write. Then I take a step backward and it is so important that Micke takes a step forward and does what he wants. He writes also very much, we work and develop different projects, a large number of different ideas and, then it is so important that I support him, so it doesn't become that only my job has the upperhand, because it is so easy, when one has a so-called "world-career" that it becomes the only one to be focused on. It should not drown what you have at home, like a well. There will be nothing left . 

23-Ni har varit hyggligt förskonade från skvallerpressen ,vad är receptet? / You have been kindly spared by scandalistic press, what is the formula?
I have always said to take some kind of... that it is important to take a distance and a limit to the media.
A thing is when we release a record or you do a tour, we sit and talk here for a concert, a film and so, then it feels only wonderful to talk and to be, you know, and do the best one can of it, but, then, I believe that one must try to find a normal life from a side, for our children's sake. We cannot - therefore if we had a heap of paparazzi stuck here I would not live here.
I feel we will always stay in Sweden, we are at ease here, so I believe that media are here at home are so used to us, we care so much.
We are too boring, it's too small of a scandal . We seem more…like normal.


24-Vad har du för drömmar musikaliskt och vad skulle du vilja utveckla? / Which dreams do you have concerning music and what would you like to develop?
I would very clearly like to develop my jazz and blues dreams, for they are very deep in me. And I never really had the chance to show them or to interpret them or, what can I say... so there are other projects which lie waiting, even if there are still far away in the future! So it is something I really want to do, a damn good jazz-record and there are incredibly good songs which I would like to perform, but it is totally another thing from both my solo-things and Roxette, but it is really good to still have dreams, like it is more you want to say and do. Then I would like also to develop the arrangement-side... I would like to be more involved, and to arrange and to produce more. 

25-Värför ger du inte ut dina låta på engelska? / Why don't you release your songs in English?
I would really want to try it, it would be interesting ...the seventh wave! Still the scent of love - Ännu Doftar Kärlek... it would really be damn cool but I can't - it feels you must divide a project, or every project, I can't do many projects at the same time, because it would become so damn confusing , I must have one - take one thing at a time.

26-Vad gör du musikaliskt om 10 år? / Regarding music, what will you be doing in 10 years' time?
Oh, I hope I will still be doing what I do nowadays! You know… writing and so on. I don't think I will still go on tour though, because that's really a tough thing to do but… ah, I should really not say that, you never know, and, after all, I'm well trained, hehe. Anyway, what I know is that it will always have to be something creative… yeah, definitely! I could never live without music, or without art, any kind of it … I mean, this is my life! I think I will be writing a lot, and I will keep on singing as long as it feels good to do that. We'll see!
 

27-Har du aldrig velat fråga någon av de mest extrema fansen om vad som är deras drivkraft? / Haven't you ever wanted to ask any of your most extreme fans what their motivation is?
Oh yes, I have tried to talk to them but most of the time, they just break down and start crying! So that's a bit hard… I don't know. They seem to totally live through our music. Most of those who I saw during my tour last summer (2000) were still the same ones who I already saw on Roxette's tour, you know, when we had our last worldtour. So … I mean … 5 years later!!!! "Get a life! Do something else!!!" yet … it's really great.
(Voice from off: "Is it mainly girls or boys?")
Oh, both, this varies a lot!
It's fantastic that they are still so devoted after five years! Well, I think .. mainly … some of those girls I wrote letters with … I think some of them maybe have tough lives, they have problems, and our music gives them the strength to manage everything … it's like some kind of balm for their souls, it helps them feel good. And I think it is wonderful that music can work like that.
Yet, you know … sometimes I do wonder … when they all follow the tour like a caravan … There were fans who travelled to really EVERY SINGLE show. This must have cost them an awful lot of money!!!! I don't even mean concert tickets … of course we always put some on the guestlist … but, you know … accommodation, travelling, all that … incredible!!

28-Hur kändes det inför och under premiären i Borgholm ? / What did it feel like before and during the tour premiere in Borgholm?
Oh, I was terribly nervous! I mean, it had only been 5 years since the last time I toured with Roxette, but it had been 8 years since I was on solo tour! And, you know, it was raining the whole bloody day … you really started to plead "oh my god, PLEASE, turn off that rain at least during the concert". I felt so sorry for the poor audience standing out there, in the pouring rain, freezing … and then, exactly when we walked on stage and the concert started, it stopped raining!!! Wonderful!
And then, the concert … well during the first half of it, I was still so very tense and so absolutely concentrated and focused but then…after the acoustic part, I got really relaxed and really started to feel I gained control over everything … wonderful!

29-Hur kändes det när recensionerna kom dagen efter premiären ? / How did it feel when the reviews came the day after the premiere?
Well sometimes when it felt of course - well partly I was very happy that so many people who had been there or who had - or we also had the worldpremiere party in the hotel which was so cool and it was so great because you knew from so many friends who had gone there and who thought that it was just great and you felt "It's so great, it works" and then you look at certain evening papers - I won't say which ones - it doesn't matter - aha then you become - no it isn't called evening paper anymore. What the hell are these newspapers called? It's clear that you - that I become sad - of course! I would lie if I would say that I didn't become sad. Because you have worked and you stood and released - there are so many feelings, there is so much release of emotions in such a concert and premiere. So the whole breakfast was a bit strange. But on the other hand there were also papers who wrote - in contrast to that - fantastic reviews.

30-Bryr man sig om Stockholmpressen fast man är världsartist? / Do you care about the Stockholm press although one is world artist?
Sometimes, I can get the feeling that, only because I've had such enormous successes, for example with Roxette… then I can't help feeling a little bit of peoples envy. -" You shouldn't think that you can come back with your own material and make a success again!" - "Only a little bit of success is ok, not too much!" Unfortunately, the Swedish mentality is like that sometimes. At the same time, I am of course who I am, of course I have to write about my feelings, my songs, everything from "Så länge det lyser mittemot" to "Den sjunde vågen" to "Tro". Those are different feelings and moods that I've experienced. And it's good to write and sing about it.
And then it's obvious that there are people who don't like it, and of course they should write that down. But it's not written so objectively. Sometimes they've already decided that the "small, poor, rich girl…" that is something someone wrote once…"don't come here and think you're something" !!! It's obvious that you feel like…that says it all. Oooooi! Is that all you can write? Can't you even come up with something else?
That's their way, how they experience music. But even when you don't like the music you can write objectively.

31-Är inte Marie Fredriksson och GylleneTider mer populära än roxette i Sverige? / Isn't Marie Fredriksson and Gyllene Tyder more popular than Roxette in Sweden?
That could be possible. The "Have a nice day" album has sold I think about 160.000 copies. And my greatest hits album sold 200.000 copies. Yeah, that's quite strange! Oh well… That's because we go so far back, our audience is so enormously wide.

32-Vad är det bästa turnéminnet? / What's the best tour memory?
The are two, as a matter of fact, from the same, the last concert in Uppsalla. (she laughs all the time while she speaks) Then you always have to have fun together. And Sverige, who were the support act, came in …this is the best tour memory, it was terribly funny! They came in small "Marie Fredriksson" T-shirts, the ones sold by the merchandise , blue children's T-shirts with "Marie Fredriksson" written on it. They forced themselves in the T-shirts. One of them came dancing on stage during the brass band solo in "Äntligen" followed by the rest with less and less clothes on! The last one came on stage totally stark naked! He only wore the tiny T-shirt and the rest was naked! Which was terribly funny! The audience didn't understand what was going on, but to us on the inside, it was fun!
And I dressed up as a dog, a frightfully huge dog. And I came running in at their song " Skaffa hund." So we really had fun together with Sverige. They're a wonderful support act, it was a really, really heavy atmosphere with them!
And the same night, after "Mellan sommar och höst" that was the last song before we gave an extra song …oh what am I saying?….The one before the last song… so after ehm… "Värdighet" it's completely black between the two songs. And I thought I should run up onto the drum platform and come to Christer Jansson och Mats Persson who do this really cool drum solo intro before "Mellan sommar och höst". I just thought I could surprise them by appearing up there. Unfortunately it was pitch-black on stage during that drum solo and when I was going to make this big jump onto this platform, I totally overlooked Staffan Astners monitor sticking so far out. I stumbled over the plugs and the monitor when I wanted to jump and fell right down on the ground banging my microphone directly on the stage floor. Which resulted in a really loud "BANG" coming out of the P.A.
It went completely wrong and I hit myself really bad. And I had to get up again and continue and get up to Christer and Mats on their podium.
Well, it doesn't seem to take so long to run around, but it REALLY takes it's time. And moreover, I really hurt my knee and my thumb. In fact my thumb was so sore, I thought I broke it!
When I had to sing I realised that up there's no monitor for me, so I didn't hear what I did myself. It was a total chaos in that song! But it was just so funny, we all laughed our heads off! 

33-Vad är det sämsta turnéminnet? / What is the worst tour memory?
That is the damn weather!!! There were a couple of concerts, like in Trosa where it rained the WHOLE time! I also remember that it rained in Leksand and Vadstena. The audience is fantastic, they're standing outside! A Swedish summer can be so heavenly good and wonderful! And it's so damn great to tour and play outdoors when it's so beautiful. Evenings like in Stockholm "Sjöhistoriska museet" it was so perfect and fantastic. And the poor people who stood outside in Leksand, the was 12 degrees, it rained and the wind blew! It rained in onto the stage and I felt the make up run off. That isn't so great! 

34-Hur var spelningen på hemmaplan ? / How was it to play on home ground?
The concert in Halmstad was very, very special. There, because I of course have lived in Halmstad for more than 10 years it felt a little like home ground. And then I had a little dream that Per Gessle would join me and sing something. So I asked him long ago if he feels like it, and what he really wants, we can do something, …whatever. He said "Yeah, we can think of something, we must see". It must feel right in my thing. We wanted it to be something in Swedish. So we sat there and came with the proposal of "Kung av sand" which I think is an unbelievably good song. So we rehearsed that one. At the sound check in the afternoon we heard unbelievably many of the Roxette fans sitting outside and screaming at us. So me and Per looked at each other and said " Let's play a Roxette song, to see them…it's for those who travelled so far!" So that was something completely spontaneous that was decided that same afternoon. So we sang "Listen to your heart" and Per played the acoustic guitar and I sang. The reaction we got from all the Roxette fans, who're always in the furthest front, it was totally unbelievable. There were at least two of them who I thought would faint! It was completely fantastic. 

35-Har du något kul publikminnet från någon speciell plats? / Do you have a funny audience memory from a special place?
Varberg was also a really special night. It was good weather and I had many good friends in the audience. There we really started getting "into the tour", that was enormously special.
In my talk in between "Ännu doftar kärlek" I talk about Lasse Lindbom, coming to Stockholm and there I met Efva Attling, who's one of my closest friends. So when I'm talking about her, I say "I saw Efva Attling there and she came straight up to me and said…". And so screamed a guy in the crowd "Do you want to marry me???!!!" Ha ha, terribly funny!!! I really had to laugh! That is the coolest thing that you can imagine, talk coming out of the crowd, coming right in!
And another time, the same evening as a matter of fact, another one who screams "YOU, can't you sing something in English, or say something in English? My friend here doesn't understand shit!!!" Ha ha!!! It's so cool when they dare to communicate and dare to be direct, dare to show it. It's terribly funny! 

36-Hur var det att sjunga duett med Patrik Isaksson? / How was it to sing a duet with Patrik Isaksson?
Patrik Isaksson sings of course in "Det som var nu" the 2nd single of the greatest hits album which we also sang live. I talked with Patrik a couple of times. To try to get together on an evening that it would work, try to have him as a guest, but he was also on tour in summer, it's really hard!
Damn fly!!! (there's a little fly in her eye!!) It was in my eye!
I was really happy that Patrik had time, that he could come to Stockholm, and that he was off that night. Because "Det som var nu" is a duet, it felt so lonely to sing it alone evening after evening without him! It was really strong when he came on stage. He's a wonderful artist, a fantastic singer. He's absolutely one of my favorites in Swedish music right now. His expression is so real, so natural. Terrific!
The same evening was also very great cos we got the whole brass band playing in "Äntligen". They were 5 trumpet musicians; "Magnus Lindgren's Hot Five" they are called. Who are unbelievably good. And it was also so special just because "Äntligen" has become such a big hit. And the brass part in the middle is the "hook" for the whole song. We've done that on the synthesiser during the whole tour. We didn't have money for that. Especially in Stockholm it was such a cool finish with them as guests. Real brass works even better, it's so much power.
